This past Saturday evening, the St. James Fire Department held its 102nd Annual Installation of Officers, an event proudly sponsored by the St. James Fire District. .

During the ceremony, both the Chiefs along with the Line Officers from each company were officially installed, along with the department's Desk Officers.

Each company took the opportunity to honor a member for their dedication and hard work over the past year. Additionally, several members received service awards in recognition of their long-standing commitment to our organization, with seven members being celebrated for over 30 years of service!

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the "Doug O" Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership and selfless contributions to the department. This year, the honor went to John Scomillio, Captain of Company 1 and a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners.

The Auxiliary of our department was also delighted to celebrate Lorraine Gombert, who was recognized for an incredible 60 years of service.

Lastly, please note the "Table of the Missing Soldier & First Responder". We honor those no longer with us and remember their sacrifices.
