| On Thursday night, the St. James Fire Department held its annual elections and inspection — a night filled with tradition, pride, and big transitions. After 11 years in the Chief’s office, Chief Frank Sapienza is moving on.
We thank him for more than a decade of dedicated leadership, unwavering commitment, and service to his brother and sister members and to the St. James community.
As one chapter closes, another begins. 1st Assistant Chief Danny Keegan has moved up the ranks, and we are proud to welcome him as the new Chief of the Department.
He will be supported by 1st Assistant Chief Eric Orth, 2nd Assistant Chief Ed Springer Jr., 3rd Assistant Chief James O’Connell, and nearly 100 dedicated volunteers who keep this department strong.
